Jayden Danns Commits to LFC with New Deal, Heads to Sunderland on Loan.

Jayden Danns has committed to a new long-term deal with Liverpool and will spend the rest of the season on loan at Sunderland.

The forward will finish his recovery from an injury at the AXA Training Centre before joining the Championship club for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.

Danns has worked his way through Liverpool’s Academy and has made nine appearances for the first team since making his debut under Jürgen Klopp last February, finding the net three times.

He marked his first appearance for the Reds with a brace against Southampton at Anfield in the Emirates FA Cup and scored again in the competition when Arne Slot’s team faced Accrington Stanley last month.

The 19-year-old also earned his first start and appeared in the Champions League for the first time during last week’s away match against PSV Eindhoven.

Sunderland FC under the management of Regis Le Bris, are currently in the fourth place of  the Championship table.

Reacting to his contract update Jayden said: “This is my first loan move and a chance to prove myself, so I’m very appreciative of the opportunity and I’m grateful to the club for placing their faith in me. I’ve done my research and the team is incredible, so this feels like the right step. I’m disappointed that I will be unable to do that straightaway, but I’m proud to have joined the club and I will work hard throughout this period to ensure I can return to action and play my part.”

Jayden Alexander Danns, a Liverpool prodigy, was born on January 16th, 2006, in Liverpool. He is the firstborn of Neil Danns, the Guyana international footballer. Growing up in a football-oriented family, Jayden developed a passion for the sport by following his father’s example. At just 8 years old, Jayden earned a spot in the Liverpool academy, where he has remained ever since. Over the years, he has been tirelessly honing his skills to improve as a player.

As the oldest sibling, Jayden has a younger brother named Kaylen and a sister named Hayla. His talents were quickly evident at Rainhill High School, where he made a name for himself by leading his team to victory in 8 Merseyside School cups in 2019.
