The city of Liverpool is set to erupt in a sea of red on Bank Holiday Monday, May 26, as fans prepare to celebrate Liverpool FC’s historic 20th league title with a triumphant victory parade through the streets. Following the Reds’ dominant campaign in the 2024–25 Premier League season, the club has accepted a formal invitation from Liverpool City Council to take part in a massive public celebration honoring their latest achievement.

The parade, which will take place one day after the final game of the season, is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. BST, embarking on a 15km route that mirrors the iconic paths of the club’s 2019 and 2022 trophy parades. Beginning at Allerton Maze in the south of the city, the procession will make its way north via Queens Drive, cutting across the heart of Liverpool with stops and viewing points at:

  1. Mill Bank

  2. West Derby Road

  3. Islington

  4. Leeds Street

  5. The Strand

The journey will reach its conclusion at Blundell Street, in what is expected to be a vibrant and emotional finale to a day of unforgettable celebration. While the parade is expected to last between three to five hours, timings may vary slightly based on crowd size and logistical factors.

Liverpool City Council has urged fans to plan ahead and to line the full length of the route to ensure everyone gets a chance to witness the champions in person. With Radio 1’s Big Weekend also taking place in the city, the council anticipates large crowds across the entire weekend, and advises early arrival and use of public transport where possible.

For safety reasons, supporters are reminded that flares and pyrotechnics are strictly prohibited, and crowd safety remains a top priority for event organizers.

Speaking about the upcoming celebration, Councillor Liam Robinson, Leader of Liverpool City Council, shared his excitement:

“We’re thrilled to formally invite Liverpool Football Club to parade through our great city on May 26. A Liverpool victory parade is so much more than a sporting event – it’s a moment of unity, a showcase of the city’s passion, pride, and the powerful bond between the club and its supporters.

“Behind the scenes, months of meticulous planning have gone into preparing for this event, drawing on the success of the city’s collaborative ‘Team Liverpool’ approach that worked so well during Eurovision. We’re ready to once again deliver an event that lives long in the memory.”

As Liverpool prepares to honor its football heroes, the parade promises to be a spectacle filled with joy, pride, and a shared love for the game. Whether you’re a lifelong Red or simply soaking in the electric atmosphere, May 26 is set to be a landmark moment in Liverpool’s rich cultural and sporting history.
