People Say He Brings Us Good Luck

Liverpool’s clash with Arsenal at Anfield today was billed as one of the biggest fixtures of the season—and for Reds fans, it couldn’t have ended better. Liverpool secured a vital win in front of their home crowd, and among the thousands inside the stadium, one young supporter stood out once again: Isaac Kearney, the boy many now call Liverpool’s lucky mascot.

Isaac’s journey with the club has been nothing short of inspiring. What started as a boyhood passion has blossomed into something much greater—a bond between a young fan and his football club that has captured hearts both inside and outside Anfield.

“He’s living his dream now—going to matches, meeting the players,” his mother said with a beaming smile after the final whistle. “At home, he’s quite shy, but when he’s with the team, he lights everything up.”

For Isaac, attending Liverpool games is more than just watching football. It’s an emotional connection. “The emotion is written all over his face,” his mother added. “Sometimes, he looks like he’s about to cry, clutching the club’s crest on his shirt. His dedication is unbelievable for someone his age—it constantly leaves us in awe.”

And while Liverpool’s win today thrilled fans everywhere, Isaac’s presence made it even more special. His beaming smile in the stands, often caught by photographers, is quickly becoming part of the Anfield matchday story.

But beyond the football, Isaac’s story carries a deeper meaning. Diagnosed with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, a rare genetic condition caused by a missing section of chromosome 4, Isaac has faced challenges many could never imagine. The condition brings developmental delays, reduced muscle growth, and distinctive facial features, as described by the French National Health Authority. Yet through football, Isaac has found joy, confidence, and a platform to raise awareness.

“Now, more people understand this condition and the realities of living with it,” his parents explained. “It was an incredibly painful and difficult period for us, but we want to turn it into something positive. We’re so proud that Isaac can represent children like him.”

His story has even reached beyond Liverpool, with a special invitation arriving from none other than Real Madrid, proof of the impact his journey is making across Europe.

Still, for Isaac, the dream is simple. His love for Liverpool runs deeper than words, and his wish remains unchanged: to see the Reds keep winning. “I can’t wait,” he says, his eyes lighting up at the thought of more triumphs ahead.

As the final whistle blew at Anfield today, fans celebrated another hard-fought victory. But for many, the sight of Isaac—clutching his crest, smiling through the noise—was a reminder of why football is more than a game
