Team mates come and go but not like this- Mo Salah

Mohamed Salah Heartbroken by Reported Death of Teammate Diogo Jota and His Brother
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has shared a heartfelt tribute following the tragic news of the reported passing of his teammate Diogo Jota and Jota’s brother, André. The Egyptian forward opened up about his grief in an emotional Instagram post on Friday, saying the loss has left him shaken and deeply saddened.
“Until yesterday, I never imagined there would be anything that could make me fear going back to Liverpool after the break,” Salah wrote. “Teammates come and go—but not like this. It’s incredibly hard to accept that Diogo won’t be there with us anymore.”
Salah also offered his deepest condolences to Jota’s family, acknowledging the unimaginable pain they must be facing.
“My heart goes out to his wife, children, and his parents, who are now mourning both their sons,” he said. “Everyone close to Diogo and André needs all the support we can give. Their memory will always live on with us.”
Diogo Jota, who joined Liverpool from Wolves in 2020, quickly became a vital part of the club’s attacking force. Known for his sharp instincts in front of goal and his ability to adapt across forward positions, the Portuguese international made a significant impact during his time under Jürgen Klopp and more recently, under Arne Slot.
Over four seasons, Jota helped drive Liverpool’s domestic and European ambitions with key goals and tireless performances, earning respect and admiration from teammates and fans alike.
As the football world absorbs the devastating news, tributes continue to pour in for Jota and his brother, reminding us of the fragility of life and the deep bonds shared between teammates.
