Isaac was honoured to sign Diogo tribute. Guess what he wrote?

Isaac, a young Liverpool fan with a deep admiration for Diogo Jota, has joined the rest of the football world in paying a heartfelt tribute to the late Portuguese forward.

When news broke that Jota had tragically died in a car accident in Spain on July 3rd, 2025, Isaac was left devastated. Known among friends and family for often praising Jota’s quiet brilliance and sharp instincts, he described the forward as “the kind of player who made me fall in love with the game again.”

Just like millions of fans, Isaac summed up his grief in four powerful words that echo across Anfield and beyond:

“You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

Family Shares His Reaction

According to his family, Isaac didn’t hear about the tragedy immediately.
“Isaac was in school and didn’t know about the news early enough. He was devastated on getting back from school and hearing the news,” they said.

Later that evening, his parents gave an emotional update on how the family was coping:
“Thank you for all your messages. Isaac knows about the tragic news and we’ve had a very emotional afternoon in our house. We’ve all cried together & Isaac asked us to turn off the TV, which is exactly what we’ve done—and had lots of cuddles.”

Remembering Jota

The accident, which occurred on the A-52 motorway in Zamora, claimed not only Jota’s life but also that of his younger brother, Andre Silva, who was also a professional footballer. Jota was just 28 years old, recently married, and leaves behind three children.

Since joining Liverpool in 2020, Jota made over 180 appearances, helping the Reds to several trophies, including the Premier League title, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup. His impact on the club and its supporters was profound.

Isaac’s Tribute

In the days following the tragedy, Isaac wrote a moving message about his hero:
“Jota doesn’t always get the loudest praise, but if you really watch him, you know how good he is. He’s just different. Quietly confident. The kind of player who made me fall in love with the game again. Jota’s my guy. Always will be.”

Recently, Isaac was invited by MurWalls, the creators of Liverpool’s tribute mural, to add his words alongside thousands of others. With simple but powerful emotion, he signed:

RIP JOTs
Forever Our Number 20
